The selection principle of permanent magnet DC motor
Classification:
Selection principle
(1) Selection of type
It is advisable to give priority to ferrite permanent magnet DC motors with high efficiency, low price and low temperature rise. Only when the performance requirements are strict, the size is small, and the ambient temperature is high, consider choosing an AlNiCo permanent magnet DC motor or a rare earth permanent magnet DC motor.
(2) Reasonable choice of motor power
The output power of the motor is limited. If the power of the motor is selected to be too small, the load exceeds the rated output power of the motor, and the motor will be overloaded. When overloaded, the motor will generate heat, vibration, speed drop, abnormal sound, etc. At that time, the motor will burn. And the power is too large, it will cause economic waste. Therefore, it is very important to choose the power of the motor reasonably.
(3) Specification selection
Often due to the actual production of product specifications are not many, to increase the difficulty of selecting products. When selecting product specifications, consideration can be given to: when the power supply voltage is adjustable, specifications with torque and speed close to the corresponding rated value of the product can be selected according to actual needs, and the required speed can be obtained by changing the voltage; When the power supply voltage is fixed, if there is no product with appropriate specifications to choose from, the appropriate specifications can be selected according to the torque first, and the voltage and speed of the product can be appropriately adjusted.
2. permanent magnet brushless DC motor in the application should pay attention:
(1) If the product does not specify, under normal circumstances (such as AlNiCo permanent magnet DC motor or ferrite permanent magnet DC motor) permanent magnet DC motor is not allowed to reverse brake operation under rated voltage, otherwise it will cause permanent magnet demagnetization; If it is really necessary to operate in this way, a current limiting resistor should be added to limit the excessive current.
(2) Do a preliminary inspection of the motor as follows:
First check the appearance of the motor: there should be no scratches, bumps and coating layer falling off; then rotate the shaft, should be able to rotate flexibly, no obvious jam phenomenon. Check whether the wiring of the motor is firm and run with power. There should be no friction in the process of rotation of the motor, which is the bearing friction. Abnormal sound will be issued after the bearing wear, local overheating temperature rise phenomenon.
(3) Pay attention to the permanent magnet demagnetization caused by excessive current, temperature changes, and open magnetic circuit during disassembly and assembly. Especially for AlNiCo permanent magnet motors, the permanent magnet magnetic circuit should be protected by magnetic short circuit during disassembly and assembly. Otherwise, additional magnetization will be required after demagnetization.
